Food Truck Permit

Requirements

Getting a permit is the first step to operate a food truck or trailer. The Food Truck Operation Permit will not be issued until the Town has received this information. This document will serve as the Food Truck Operation Permit once it has been approved and signed by the Zoning Administrator and inspected and signed by the Fire Marshall.

  • Complete and submit the Food Truck Operation Permit Application
  • Mobile food vendors must maintain written permission from private property owner’s written permission authorizing lease of the vending location.
  • Mobile food vendors operating within town limits must obtain a valid business license as a food service location (NAICS code 722) as a mobile restaurant in the Town of Six Mile before operating in the Town of Six Mile.
  • For special event participation, mobile food vendors must pay same special event fee as any other vendor.
  • Mobile food units must meet all state Department of Health and Environmental Control requirements, and shall obtain, maintain, and display permit from South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC).
