The Bryson Children’s Nature Walk continues to grow as a place for exploration, learning, and hands-on connection with nature. This season marks an exciting addition to the space the official opening of the new Children’s Garden.
Designed to give young children the opportunity to experience gardening firsthand, the Children’s Garden features individual plots assigned to participating families for the season. Registration is available through the Town’s website, with plots awarded to the first 24 families who sign up each season.
This year’s spring season began on Good Friday, welcoming a new group of young gardeners eager to get their hands in the soil. Among them were two boys proudly planting in their newly assigned plot. This moment that perfectly captures the spirit of the program. Their enthusiasm and hard work reflect the purpose of the garden: to foster curiosity, responsibility, and a love for the outdoors.
The Children’s Garden is more than just a place to grow plants; it’s a place to grow community. Families work side-by-side, children learn where their food comes from, and the space becomes a shared environment for creativity and discovery.
We look forward to watching the garden flourish throughout the season and encourage interested families to keep an eye out for future registration opportunities to open in the Fall.
